In all languages the dictation will be broadcasted by an infrared broadcast system. Competitors get a receiver (photo) with a pair of wired headphones. Each language has its own channel.
The stereo 3.5mm jack headphone output of the receiver allows competitors to use their own headphones.
Competitors can eventually wear noise reducing earmuffs over the headphone to dampen ambient noise and keyboard sound.
